Title: [Clinico-electromyographic characteristics of discogenic lumbosacral vascular compression radiculomyeloischemia]. Author: Prokhorov AA, Demina EN. Journal: Zh Nevropatol Psikhiatr Im S S Korsakova; 1982; 82(2):224-8. PubMed ID: 7072425. Abstract: Clinical and electromyographic data obtained from 50 patients who were in the late period of discogenic lumbosacral radiculoischemias were compared. A group of patients was differentiated in whom the clinical findings did not correlate with the electromyographic ones. These patients showed subclinical electromyographic symptoms pointing to an involvement of the segmental apparatus of the spinal cord. The differentiation of the above group of the patients is especially important for the practice of estimating the working capacity, since in cases of a physical overstrain or action of additional adverse factors the process may be decompensated.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
