Title: [Comparative evaluation of systemic hemodynamics in normotensive and hypertensive rats]. Author: Ismailov ShI, Medvedev OS. Journal: Biull Eksp Biol Med; 1982 May; 93(5):38-40. PubMed ID: 7093505. Abstract: Experiments on narcotized normotensive Wistar rats, spontaneously hypertensive rats and rats with one-kidney spontaneously hypertensive rats and rats with one-kidney Goldblatt hypertension were made to compare the main parameters of systemic hemodynamics and baroreceptor reflex function. It was shown that elevated blood pressure in hypertensive rats mainly depends on the elevation of peripheral resistance. Cardiac output determined by impedance cardiography did not differ significantly in all the three groups of rats. Sensitivity of the cardiac component of the baroreceptor reflex was inhibited in both groups of hypertensive animals compared with normotensive rats.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
