Title: A case of dysuria as a result of a communication between the urinary bladder and corpus uteri in a Cairn Terrier. Author: van Schouwenburg SJ, Louw GJ. Journal: J S Afr Vet Assoc; 1982 Mar; 53(1):65-6. PubMed ID: 7097711. Abstract: A 61/2-month-old Cairn Terrier, considered to be a bilateral cryptorchid male, was presented with dysuria and urinary incontinence. This was found to be due to a congenital communication between the urinary bladder and corpus uteri and resulted in distention of the uterus with urine which could not be voided. An ovariohysterectomy was performed. The dog was found to be a gentic female with what resembled external male genitalia, i.e. a female pseudohermaphrodite.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
