Title: [Characteristics of the slow-wave heart rhythm in a healthy human being under various functional conditions]. Author: Karpov AN, Zinov'eva LA. Journal: Kosm Biol Aviakosm Med; 1982; 16(3):30-2. PubMed ID: 7098407. Abstract: The slow waves of the cardiac rhythm were investigated at rest and under emotional and physical stress. In most test subjects emotional stress led to the generation of the first order slow waves of 0.04-0.09 cps, whereas exercises inhibited slow waves of the above frequency range. Heart rate increased in response to both emotional and physical stress. The slow wave responses can be used to evaluate the emotional status and to differentiate emotional and physical stresses.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
