Title: [Effect of time resolution ability on selective hearing disorders]. Author: von Wedel H. Journal: HNO; 1982 Oct; 30(10):388-92. PubMed ID: 7153074. Abstract: Object of these investigations was the development and use of an audiologic test battery for the diagnostic registration of patients with problems in selective hearing because of a disturbed time resolution ability. In addition to some basic tests concerning the dynamic range and the fusion ability in binaural hearing special speech discrimination tests and psychoacoustical and electrophysiological tests on time resolution ability in monaural and binaural hearing are introduced. Compared to the results of normal hearing, patients with problems in selective hearing, especially because of presbyacusis, frequently show a reduced time resolution ability.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
