Title: [Recurrent ulcer after stomach resection--its operative therapy with reference to etiology and pathogenesis]. Author: Harnoss BM, Hirner A, Häring R. Journal: Zentralbl Chir; 1982; 107(19):1214-21. PubMed ID: 7158111. Abstract: Over a period of 12 years, 100 patients with a confirmed ulcer recurrence after prior gastric resection underwent a standardized surgical procedure. The mortality rate of the electively operated patients amounted to 1 per cent. The follow-up examination yielded satisfactory surgical results in over 80 per cent of the patients treated in this way. We consider the exclusively abdominal procedure suitable in cases of recurrent ulcer in order to ensure adequate diagnosis and therapy.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
