Title: [Lateralization of the extrapolation reflex in the rat]. Author: Bianki VL, Filippova EB. Journal: Zh Vyssh Nerv Deiat Im I P Pavlova; 1982; 32(6):1104-8. PubMed ID: 7164574. Abstract: Interhemispheric asymmetry of extrapolation reflex was studied in Norway rats. The experiments were carried out by the Krushinsky method with a screen in combination with a unilateral temporary decortication by means of spreading depression. It was shown that during isolated functioning of one hemisphere the ability for extrapolation of movement direction was observed in about half of the studied animals. By the criterion of the first round-about turn no functional interhemispheric asymmetry was found. By the criterion of four successive correct turns out of ten presentations, the right hemisphere dominated in achieving extrapolation.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
