Title: [Uncommon cause of malfunction of a valve prosthesis of the the St. Jude Medical type]. Author: Magagnini E, Chella PS, Pieroni A. Journal: G Ital Cardiol; 1982; 12(9):681-4. PubMed ID: 7169168. Abstract: We report the malfunction of a St. Jude Medical prosthetic valve in mitral position in a 60 year old woman. The bi-leaflet design of this prosthetic valve appears to have offered some protection to our patient. The malfunction involved only one of the hemi-disc and the haemodynamic derangement was moderate.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
