  • Title: [The endometrium of the corpus uteri in scanning electron microscopy].
    Author: Karpowicz MJ.
Journal: Probl Med Wieku Rozwoj; 1982; 11():195-201. PubMed ID: 7178082.
    Abstract:
The studied material comprised samples of 31 cases of human endometrium. The material was divided into groups in relation to histological picture of the endometrium. It has been concluded that surface endometrial epithelium is characteristic of changes during menstrual cycles. We could observe cilliary and secretory cells in the epithelim. In pathological conditions of human endometrium the authors also observed the above mentioned two types of cells. The surface endometrial epithelium in pathological states is deprived of the features observed in luteal phase of the menstrual cycle.
