  • Title: Comparison between pilocarpine and timolol on diurnal pressures in open-angle glaucoma.
    Author: Hass I, Drance SM.
Journal: Arch Ophthalmol; 1980 Mar; 98(3):480-1. PubMed ID: 7189114.
    Abstract:
In 14 eyes with open-angle glaucoma, 2% pilocarpine hydrochloride given four times a day was compared with timolol given twice daily in its effect on intraocular pressure around the clock. The findings suggest that the timolol produced a greater reduction in pressure than pilocarpine and that, in 50% of the diurnal curves, the timolol curve showed smaller swings in IOP.
