    Abstract:
    Sodium flux was investigated in lipid vesicles derived from erythrocyte membranes of patients with myotonic dystrophy (MyD) and matched health controls. The lipid vesicles were prepared with phospholipid from erythrocyte membranes and "spectrin" protein preparations. Abnormal sodium permeability was demonstrated in vesicles prepared from phospholipid from the MyD patients.
