Title: [Role of medullary nuclei and the vagus nerve in hypothalamic regulation of the anticoagulant system]. Author: Kalishevskaia TM, Golubeva MG, Farber VL. Journal: Fiziol Zh SSSR Im I M Sechenova; 1981 Feb; 67(2):242-6. PubMed ID: 7215587. Abstract: Electric stimulation of the anterior and rostral parts of the lateral hypothalamus induced activation of the medulla oblongata n. ambiguus and did not change the activity of the vagus n. gigantocellularis and n. dorsalis. Thrombin administration induced maximal activity in the nn. vagi within 3--5 min and the maximal hypocoagulation during the same time in the blood. A scheme of efferent pathways for the hypothalamic regulation of the anticoagulating system, is suggested.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
