Title: [Streptococcus antibodies in various population groups with no apparent signs of streptococcal infection. Sero-epidemiological evaluation]. Author: Angela GC, Brignardello P, Simonetta R, Tosco A. Journal: Arch Sci Med (Torino); 1980; 137(3):525-36. PubMed ID: 7235940. Abstract: ASO- and streptozyme (STZ) antibodies were evaluated in about 2000 subjects: apparently healthy persons, persons in hospital, members of the armed forces, puerperae and their newborns. STZ antigen was found to be more sensitive than ASO; statistically much higher than STZ- and ASO+. The results were coincident (75%-90%) in subjects with normal antibody levels and those with "pathological" titres.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
