Title: [Ionic composition and potassium ion permeability of the erythrocyte membranes of patients with the inflammatory-dystrophic form of parodontosis]. Author: Peshkova LV, Orlova OL, Kas'ianova TA, Trifonova VP, Evtodienko IuV. Journal: Biull Eksp Biol Med; 1981 Mar; 91(3):298-300. PubMed ID: 7248502. Abstract: The content of K+ was evaluated in erythrocytes of the blood collected from the finger and gingiva of normal people and patients with parodontosis. The content of K+ in erythrocytes of the capillary blood was discovered to increase with the enhancement of the disease severity. The permeability ratio for K+ did not essentially change. The data obtained confirm the suggestion that parodontosis is a systemic disease rather than a local affection.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
