    Abstract:
    31 Monk-"soft-top"-femoral head prostheses were followed up for 12 to 48 months. They were implanted after a fracture of the femoral neck, provided there was no major osteoarthritic changes of the acetabulum. Our results are satisfying, no severe complications due to the high density polyethylene debris were encountered and no protrusions of the acetabulum either.
