  • Title: [Effect of GABA isonicotinoylamide on cerebral circulation].
Author: Mirzoian RS, Gan'shina TS, Shmuĭlovich LM.
Journal: Biull Eksp Biol Med; 1981 Nov; 92(11):573-4. PubMed ID: 7317636.
    Abstract:
It was found that isonicotinoylamide GABA intensifies cerebral circulation and decreases the tone of the cerebral vessels in both arterial systems of the brain. This effect was more pronounced in conscious cats than in anesthetized animals. Isonicotinoylamide GABA was shown to produce the central depressant action on the nervous control of cerebral circulation. The drug considerably depressed the reflex changes in the tone of the cerebral vessels and those in the cerebral blood flow, as well as tonic and reflex activity in the sympathetic nerves.
