Title: The value of arthrography and arthroscopy in association with a sports injuries clinic: a prospective and comparative study of 182 patients. Author: Crabtree SD, Bedford AF, Edgar MA. Journal: Injury; 1981 Nov; 13(3):220-6. PubMed ID: 7327743. Abstract: A series of 182 patients who presented through an athletes clinic wih internal derangements of the knee have been studied prospectively with regard to clinical, arthrographic and arthroscopic findings. The diagnostic inaccuracies of arthography and arthroscopy are detailed. In this group of patients arthroscopy achieved the greatest overall accuracy, and is recommended as the inhitial investigation. Arthrography is advocated in cases where a suspected tear of the posterior horn of the medial meniscus has not been revealed by arthroscopy.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
