Title: An evaluation of the J. T. Baker 700 and the Royco Cell-Crit IV. Author: Crompton V, Maersch N. Journal: Am J Med Technol; 1980 Mar; 46(3):155-60. PubMed ID: 7361814. Abstract: To replace outdated instrumentation needed as a reliable back-up system for the Coulter Model S, an extensive evaluation of two systems, the J. T. Baker 700 and the Royco Cell-Crit IV, was conducted to determine which would be most suitable for the Madison General Hospital hematology department laboratory. Both appeared to meet the predetermined criteria set down for the study. A description of each instrument, the evaluation process, and the advantages and the disadvantages of each instrument for the laboratory was presented. As a result of the study, it was determined that the Royco Cell-Crit IV was the back-up system which would best meet the requirements.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
