Abstract: We have studied the effectiveness of various reducing agents in the production of the well-characterized complex [99TcO(SCH2CH2S)2]- from pertechnetate in aqueous solution. The reductants tested included sodium dithionite, hypophosphorous acid, formamidine sulfinic acid, dithiothreitol, hydrazine, and hydroxylamine.
