  • Title: [Chromatin RNA as a factor decreasing chromatin fragmentability under endonucleolysis].
    Author: Kharchenko EP, Tsyplenkov PV.
Journal: Biokhimiia; 1978 Nov; 43(11):2055-7. PubMed ID: 737220.
    Abstract:
Rat liver chromatin fragments obtained after the chromatin digestion with Ca,Mg-dependent intranuclear endonuclease were studied using electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gel concentration gradient. It is found that the content of large chromatin fragments decreases in the presence of exogenous RNAse. Possible structural role of RNA in the chramatin organization is discussed.
