  • Title: [Has surgery improved the prognosis of Hodgkin's disease?].
    Author: Tarquini A, Malloci A.
Journal: Minerva Chir; ; 35(1-2):45-52. PubMed ID: 7393462.
    Abstract:
A large personal series is referred to in an assessment of the part played by surgery in the diagnosis of Hodgkin's disease. It is shown that a great deal of approximation enters into the definition of the clinical stage, as demonstrated by the subsequent pathological stages occurring in the same patients. There is no doubt that the better definition offered by surgery makes a more closely orientated and more effective treatment possible, and thus improves the prognosis.
