Title: [Unresolved problems of perinatal pathology]. Author: Ivanovskaia TE. Journal: Arkh Patol; 1980; 42(7):3-9. PubMed ID: 7417021. Abstract: The paper analyses the author's own observations and the reports to be presented at the IInd All-Union conference of childhood pathologists and suggests that nosology of the perinatal period should be extended. The main causes of risk conditions are analysed. The possibility of nephropathic fetopathy becoming a distinct entity, similarities and differences in morphology of nosological forms of diseases of the mother and fetus reflecting features of responsiveness in different periods of ontogenesis are discussed. The importance of ontogenesis are discussed. The importance of analysis of environmental, in particular infectious, syndromes is emphasized. The development of the immune system playing an important part in morbidity in other periods of life is analysed. Attention is drawn to insufficient knowledge concerning intrauterine involvements of the central nervous and endocrine systems, closely connected with adaptation, to the elucidation of the role of infectious agents in the affection of these systems and the lungs, to the necessity of investigating hemorrhagic diatheses. Ways of correct analysis of the causes of perinatal and early infantile mortality are discussed.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
