Title: [Fatty acid makeup of the high-density lipoproteins in hyperalphalipoproteinemia]. Author: Gerasimova EN, Torkhovskaia TI, Ozerova IN, Khaltaev NG, Metel'skaia VA. Journal: Vopr Med Khim; 1980; 26(5):650-6. PubMed ID: 7423882. Abstract: An increase in the ratio of free cholesterol/phospholipids as well as in proportional content of oleic and linoleic acids were observed in lecithins of high density lipoproteins (HDL) from the 409-59 years old patients with hyper-alpha-lipoproteinemia. Activity of lecithine-cholesterol acyltransferase was also increased in blood plasma while the HDL cholesterol content increased. The data obtained suggest alterations in physicochemical properties of HDL and their effect on lecithine-cholesterol acyltransferase activity under conditions of hyper-alpha-lipoproteinemia.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
