Title: [Electroneuromyographic studies of children with the infantile cerebral palsy syndrome]. Author: Aslanov AM. Journal: Zh Nevropatol Psikhiatr Im S S Korsakova; 1980; 80(10):1488-91. PubMed ID: 7435030. Abstract: Under examination there were 30 children with the syndrome of infantile cerebral paralysis, in whose clinical picture coordination disturbances were prevailing. In 15 children, these disturbances were combined with spastico-paretic manifestations. In the latter cases, the speed of the motor and sensor conduction was found to be changed both in the upper and the lower extremities. In children with "cerebellar" forms of the paralysis, the electroneuromyographic examinations revealed changes mainly in the lower extremities. The results obtained suggest a delayed rate of the myelinization, and are of importance for understanding the pathogenesis of motor disturbances in infantile cerebral paralysis.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
