Abstract: A short survey about pathology and clinic of diaphragmatic defects and injuries is given. The different operative possibilities of plastic diaphragmatic defect surgery are discussed. Direct, autoplastic, alloplastic and homoioplastic closure of diaphragmatic defects are used today. We report about two patients.
