Title: [Heterotopic excretion of Ioxitalamate (author's transl)]. Author: Köster O, Figge M. Journal: Rontgenblatter; 1980 Nov; 33(11):577-80. PubMed ID: 7444259. Abstract: The relatively rare case of heterotopic excretion of a recently introduced contrast medium easily excreted by the kidney, is demonstrated by means of 2 examples. In one case, the patient complained of colicky pain in the right flank, whereas tumour nephrectomy had been performed in the other patient. The hypotheses presented in medical literature regarding ectopic excretion of contrast medium, are mentioned, but it does not appear possible to safely explain the observed extrarenal excretions.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
