  • Title: [Study of chromosomes in the bone marrow cells of mice immunized with antirabies vaccines].
Author: Cherkeziia SE, Mikhaĭlova GR, Gorshunova LP.
Journal: Tsitol Genet; 1980; 14(4):67-70. PubMed ID: 7445081.
    Abstract:
An increase in the frequency of chromosome aberrations, lysis of chromosome sets and number of aneuploid cells was observed in the mice bone marrow after 12 times immunization with live fixed rabic virus at intervals 1-60 days after last inoculation. After 90 days the frequency of chromosome disturbances was decreased. Antirabic Fermi vaccine caused chromosome disturbances only after more intensive (24 times) immunization. The rate of chromosome aberrations increased during all periods of investigation. The number of cells with chromosome lysis and aneuploid cells increases in this experiment only to the end of examination (90 days).
