    Abstract:
    Althesin was employed for induction and anaesthesia maintaining in 50 patients aged from 70 to 89 years undergoing orthopaedic surgery non requiring muscular relaxation. Combined with morphine-like drugs, Althesin is able to provide satisfactory and stable anaesthesia also during long procedures in old and poor-risk patients.
