Title: [Drug therapy of arterial diseases. A study with Trental 400]. Author: Tannenberg G. Journal: Fortschr Med; 1980 Dec 04; 98(45):1795-8. PubMed ID: 7461576. Abstract: 28 patients suffering from peripheral vascular disorders in the lower extremities (Fontaine classification: Stage II = 25, Stage I-II = 3 patients) were treated for a period of 4 weeks with daily 2 to 3 tablets Trental 400 (= 400 mg pentoxifylline per talbet). Judging by extension of walking distance, increase in performance in ergometric and standing on toe testing as well as on alleviation of subjective symptoms 17 patients improved distinctly and 8 moderately, 3 patients remained unaltered.
