  • Title: [Chromosome disorders and immunoreactivity in golden hamsters infected with Opisthorchis felineus].
Author: Ginovker AG, Il'inskikh NN, Shkurko II.
    Journal: Parazitologiia; 1981; 15(1):62-8. PubMed ID: 7465248.
    Abstract:
Opisthorchosis of golden hamster causes the disarrangement of the number and structure of chromosomes of bone marrow cells 15 days after the infection. Analogous changes take place in man's leucocytes under the influence of water-salt extract from adult trematodes. The injury of the chromosomal apparatus advances with the increasing period of the infection and is coordinated with modified immunoreactivity of the organism.
