  • Title: [Significance of different modes of induction and different dosages of droperidol on the stability of blood circulation in neuroleptanalgesia (author's transl)].
    Author: Thalhammer F.
Journal: Wien Med Wochenschr; 1980 Nov 15; 130(21):693-9. PubMed ID: 7467379.
    Abstract:
The advantages and disadvantages of a higher dosage of droperidol were examined in 581 patients. It was found that an initial low dosage induces a later increase of blood pressure. Furthermore it became evident to what extent different modes of induction are apt to strengthen or to weaken the effect of droperidol. It could be observed that induction with thiopental (3 mg/kg) leads to a maximum lowering effect of droperidol medication on blood pressure. Moreover, the apparently better results with ketamine are critically discussed.
