  • Title: [Percentile trends in BPD (biparietal diameter) development: reliability in the diagnosis of PIFG (poor intrauterine fetal growth) (author's transl)].
    Author: Chiavazza F, Gramellini D, Salvini P, Elia A.
Journal: Ateneo Parmense Acta Biomed; 1978; 49(5-6):499-503. PubMed ID: 754706.
    Abstract:
The use of BPD percentile trends allows us to improve the diagnosis of PIFG in comparison with the average +/- 2SD (from 44,44% to 65,71%). SGA distribution study related to 10th percentile and delivery period confirms the existence of two different SGA groups. They have different characteristics related to the moment of the beginning of the pathological manifestations.
