Abstract: An unusual cause of tarsal tunnel syndrome is discussed, along with many of the other etiologies of this painful condition. The diagnosis was difficult because the patient's symptoms only occurred during activity. Because of burning paresthesias, it was felt that reflex sympathetic dystrophy was the etiology.
