Title: Early endovascular treatment for ruptured basilar bifurcation aneurysm--case report. Author: Uemura K, Sonobe M, Akai T, Oyama K, Sugita K, Hyodo A, Takahashi S. Journal: Neurol Med Chir (Tokyo); 1995 May; 35(5):314-6. PubMed ID: 7623954. Abstract: A 69-year-old male presented with sudden onset of headache. Computed tomography of the head demonstrated diffuse subarachnoid hemorrhage. Angiography showed a saccular basilar bifurcation aneurysm. Endovascular coil occlusion of the aneurysm on the same day enabled complete obliteration of the aneurysm. He did not develop vasospasm and returned home 4 months later. Early endovascular occlusion of the aneurysmal sac is an alternative method for the management of ruptured basilar bifurcation aneurysms.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
