    Abstract:
    The authors presented several types of surgical treatment of congenital nystagmus and results. The treatment of congenital nystagmus included 463 children. The patients were divided into three groups depending upon the type of nystagmus blocking movements. Group I included 212 patients with congenital nystagmus, compensatory head position, and normal bilateral vision without strabismus. Group II consisted of 217 patients with nystagmus blockage syndrome. Group III included 34 patients with congenital nystagmus and divergent strabismus.
