Title: Importance of complete system removal of infected cardioverter-defibrillators. Author: Mull DH, Wait MA, Page RL, Jessen ME. Journal: Ann Thorac Surg; 1995 Sep; 60(3):704-6. PubMed ID: 7677511. Recurrent septic complications developed until all residual foreign material was eliminated. Despite anecdotal reports of successful management without device removal, extraction of all hardware components should be considered standard treatment for this complication.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
