    Abstract:
    The effects of cavinton on serum erythropoietin levels, erythrocytic 2,3-DFG concentrations, acid-balance and lactic acid concentrations were studied in normal rats for 24 hours. The findings suggest that there might be two possible mechanisms of cavinton's action at the level of erythron: 1) impact on the determinants of hemoglobin functional properties; 2) creation of a potential for enhancing the production of erythropoietin.
