  • Title: [The choice of the method for extracorporeal detoxication in diffuse suppurative peritonitis].
    Author: Neĭmark MI, Rogachevskiĭ PA.
    Journal: Vestn Khir Im I I Grek; 1994; 152(5-6):27-33. PubMed ID: 7740680.
    Abstract:
The authors have made the comparative assessment of effectiveness of application of plasmapheresis, hemosplenosorbtion and combination of discrete plasmapheresis with subsequent perfusion of the formed elements of blood through the xenospleen in patients with diffuse peritonitis in the toxic and terminal phases in early postoperative period. It is indicated: performing of the combined afferent therapy--discrete plasmapheresis with subsequent free perfusion of formed elements of blood through the xenospleen increases the effectiveness of surgical treatment of the diffuse peritonitis in toxic and terminal phases due to more prominent immunomodulating and detoxicative effects than isolated application of each of methods.
