Title: [Role of the COTOREP (Technical Commission for Professional Orientation and Reclassification) in occupational allergies]. Author: Gorzerino J, Routeau P. Journal: Allerg Immunol (Paris); 1995 Mar; 27(3):88-90. PubMed ID: 7741962. Abstract: A study done by a regional commission for handicapped workers career guidance (COTOREP) from the medical files of the years 1990 to 1994 show that requests concerning occupation-related allergies are less frequent than for other occupational pathologies such as osteoarticular, mental or sensorial diseases. Nevertheless, the patients are young and have a good standard of education. In addition they have often already lost their job as a result of their allergy. So, the help of the commission is both essential and urgent. The allergies in question are principally due to flour, cement, hairdressing preparations, and metals. Two thirds of the requesters, by way of aids or appropriate professional training, have found a new employment. Most of the others are on the way to find a job suited to their situation.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
