Title: Two components of GABA-induced currents in catfish retinal horizontal cells. Author: Takahashi K, Miyoshi S, Kaneko A. Journal: Jpn J Physiol; 1994; 44 Suppl 2():S141-4. PubMed ID: 7752517. Abstract: In cone-driven horizontal cells dissociated from the catfish retina, we recorded GABA-induced currents by using a whole-cell voltage-clamp technique. The current consisted of two components. The major component was blocked by picrotoxin, but not by bicuculline, and was identified as a current flowing through the GABAC receptor channel. The second minor component was identified as a current carried by an electrogenic GABA transporter.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
