Abstract: Intra-arterial infusion of papaverine was used clinically as a vasodilator for spastic arteries after subarachnoid hemorrhage, since in vitro experiment demonstrated that papaverine is one of the most potent vasodilators of human cerebral arteries following subarachnoid hemorrhage.
