  • Title: Visual-perceptual abnormalities in delusional misidentification.
    Author: Silva JA, Leong GB.
Journal: Can J Psychiatry; 1995 Feb; 40(1):6-8. PubMed ID: 7874682.
    Abstract:
Delusional misidentification syndromes are often found in conjunction with visual-perceptual abnormalities. These abnormalities appear to be independent of visual hallucinations and are illusory in nature. A case of delusional misidentification with visual-perceptual abnormalities is presented. Cognitive and visual phenomenology suggests that careful recording of visual abnormalities may shed light on the relation between delusional misidentification and abnormal visual cognition.
