    Abstract:
    A 62-year-old woman was admitted with acute renal failure, 3 weeks after starting intake of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug tiaprofenic acid (Surgam). A renal biopsy revealed tubulointerstitial nephritis. After discontinuation of the drug and correction of electrolyte disturbances, renal function recovered almost completely within 6 months.
