Abstract: PATIENTS: The frequency of retinal detachment has been studied in 107 consecutive patients suffering from pigmentary glaucoma. The frequency of retinal detachment in pigmentary glaucoma is 12%, while in the normal population is only 0.001%. Pigmentary glaucoma is a disease which may manifest itself for the first time either as a retinal detachment or with symptoms of pigmentary glaucoma.
