Abstract: This article summarizes the most recent developments and current practice of immunohistochemistry in the diagnosis of hematologic malignancy. Increased availability of monoclonal antibodies applicable in formaldehyde-fixed and paraffin-embedded tissue is discussed as are immunohistochemical definitions for many small cell lymphoma entities.
