  • Title: Meningiomas of the cerebellopontine angle and foramen magnum.
    Author: Rhoton AL.
Journal: Neurosurg Clin N Am; 1994 Apr; 5(2):349-77. PubMed ID: 8032231.
    Abstract:
The most commonly occurring meningiomas in the posterior cranial fossa are located along the posterior surface of the temporal bone in the region of the cerebellopontine angle. Topics discussed in this article include clinical features, radiologic findings, surgical techniques, postoperative care, alternative treatments, and meningiomas of the foramen magnum. The author underscores the need for early diagnosis of these lesions so that surgical intervention can result in optimal chances for recovery.
