  • Title: [Determination in forensic medicine expertise of the age of victims, the accused and other persons].
Author: Vedeniapin GA, Anan'ev GV, Zviagin VN.
Journal: Sud Med Ekspert; 1993; 36(1):22-4. PubMed ID: 8036629.
    Abstract:
The authors suggest a new method for the assessment of the age of a subject, based on measurements of electrophysiologic parameters of human skin function. Examinations of 1313 subjects of both sexes, aged 15 to 75, helped derive a statistical model in the form of an equation, recommended for practical forensic medical evaluation. The regression coefficient standard error is equal to +/- 1.86 year, this permitting the estimation of the age of subjects as a certain time interval 3.72 years long.
