  • Title: [Myoelectric manifestations of duodenogastric dyskinesia in pentagastrin-induced ulceration].
    Author: Shemerovskiĭ KA.
Journal: Biull Eksp Biol Med; 1993 Jan; 115(1):11-3. PubMed ID: 8054560.
    Abstract:
Ulcerogenic dose (0.2 mg/kg) of Pentagastrin administrated subcutaneously in chronic experiments in rabbits resulted in duodenogastric dyskinesia manifested by duodenal activation (150%) and by inhibition of the sphincter and gastric activity (25%, 41%). Pentagastrin effects lead to origin of 3-11 ulcus on the gastric mucous membrane. Thus, one of the possible mechanisms of the gastric ulceration is duodenogastric dyskinesia, based on myoelectrical activity retrograde spriding in response to pentagastrin.
