Title: [Certain ergometric parameters of the hand due to vibration exposure]. Author: Turczyński B, Jaskólski F, Regiewicz Z. Journal: Med Pr; 1993; 44(6):563-8. PubMed ID: 8107571. Abstract: By means of a hand ergometric graph the following parameters were examined in workers exposed to vibration: total power of the right hand (Pc) and the power obtained in successive 5-second intervals (P(i)). Total test time (tc) was measured directly, the fast increasing time of fatigue (tn) and the work performed during those times (W). The group exposed to local vibration consisted of 40 workers on iron-works and the control group 50 non-exposed workers of the same iron-works. A significantly shorter fast increasing time of fatigue and the decrease of the total power of the hand were found in the study group in comparison with controls. Moreover, the P(i) power was significantly lower in the exposed group from the 30th second of the test.[Abstract] [Full Text] [Related] [New Search]
