  • Title: [The effect of obzidan on the duodenogastric dyskinesia induced by the ulcerogenic action of pentagastrin].
    Author: Shemerovskiĭ KA.
Journal: Biull Eksp Biol Med; 1993 Dec; 116(12):579-82. PubMed ID: 8123806.
    Abstract:
The effects of pentagastrin on gastroduodenal myoelectric activity were investigated in chronic experiments on rabbits before and after beta adrenoceptor blocking by propranolol. Ulcerogenic dose of pentagastrin (0.2 mg/kg) leads to bilateral duodenogastric dyskinesia, during which duodenal activity increased, and gastric one decreased. Propranolol (2 mg/kg) provoked a more significant pentagastrin-induced disfunction, retrograde duodenogastric dyskinesia. The results indicate a protective effect of the adrenergic mechanisms during pentagastrin ulcerogenesis.
